For the creation of the Havana Club Selección de Maestros, the Maestros Roneros choose from the aging cellars of the Havana Club the finest aged rums, which stand out for their special properties. Then, these selected rums are aged in specially selected barrels, re-selected by Maestros Roneros for the strong aroma of their wood, where the rum develops character and intensity. At the end of this aging process, Maestros Roneros collectively selects the rums that will form the final blend, which is bottled directly from the barrel, at 45 alcoholic degrees. This special finish, “Cuban Barrel Proof”, gives Havana Club Selección de Maestros its unparalleled bouquet of aromas and exceptional quality.
