Aberlour is located in the heart of Speyside, an area known for producing extremely soft and rich whiskies. The Aberlour Distillery is located between the rivers Lour – famous for its clean and unripe water – and Spey, at a point where humid air is ideal for the maturation process of malt whiskies. Its founder, James Fleming, founded the distillery in 1879, combining the elements of nature with tradition and local art to create within a year an excellent malt whisky.
