Complex aromas of fig and apricot from the tropical shores of Goa with a rare hint of banana. The finish is long, with notes of chocolate, orange peel and exotic nuts. Many of the inherent characteristics of the John PX Paul are due to the intensely sweet Spanish dessert sherry Pedro Ximenez.
Taste: Sweet malt, chocolate fudge, creamy butterscotch, dried fruit and Christmas cake.
Nose: Figs, apricots and rare banana notes.
Aftertaste: Long, exquisite finish of chocolate fudge, orange peels and nuts.
Aging: It has been double-aged, first for 5 years in first fill, ex-bourbon barrels and then for another 2 years in barrels containing Pedro Ximenez.
