The flagship of the Cutty Sark family, Cutty Sark Blended, is an excellent example of the Scottish art of blending. Some of the finest malt and grain scotch whiskies are involved in creating a blend that stands out for its intense character and consistently high quality. The crystal clear waters of the River Spey contribute to the soft, harmonious taste of Speyside’s carefully selected malt whiskies. The whisky matures patiently in handmade oak barrels and acquires a warm golden hue. Maturation is followed by double distillation in the handmade copper stills of Glenrothes Distillery. The “spirit” of this careful process is the unique Glenrothes, a malt with a very strong character, which gives its very special taste mark in great proportion to the final blend of Cutty Sark.
