Thiswine was dedicated to the name “Abderus“, son of the god Hermes from Opunta in Locris. According to Greek mythology, the demigod Hercules built the city of Abdera in Thrace in memory of his friend, Abderus, when he was killed in battle with the wild horses of the king of the Thracians, Diomedes. The label characteristically depicts the wild horse of Thrace. The wine results from the co-vinification of the rosé, intensely fruity and aromatic Pamidi (85%), with the red Syrah (15%), for color enhancement and spicy taste. The wine is particularly aromatic, very fresh both in taste and aroma, due to the fact that Pamidi, revived by the estate, is a sweet, aromatic (edible) grape that gives the fresh aromas of strawberry, cherry, sour cherry (the nature of the variety is this). The wine has a pleasantly sweet finish due to residual sugars.
