It arrived at a Brussels Lambic brewery in 1919 as part of a large batch of material sent to Belgium as compensation for "war losses between '14-'18". This particular barrel remained in this old Lambic brewery until 1988 and was then sold to Brouwerij Boon along with about 20 more barrels. These barrels were originally used to mature 1-year-old Lambic for Oude Geuze Boon. By 1992, the barrels that provided the best lambic were finally destined for Geuze Mariage Parfait's production , including #31. 375ml
