When Jean Pierre Moueix started creating wines under his own brand name from Bordeaux’s various designations of origin, he had two stylistic axes in mind. On the one hand, to make wines that are for immediate consumption and will not take decades to reach their peak, and on the other hand, to have all the formality of origin indicated on the label. For Bordeaux and Pomerol things might have been easier, but for the slightly tougher St Emilion the task seemed more difficult. But not for the Moueix.
