The Black Sheep, an eccentric name for a product that emphasizes its diversity and uniqueness. Its neo-cosmetic philosophy is evident both from its screw cap, its trendy appearance and the freshness that characterizes it. It is produced at the Macedon Winery in Platanotopos, Kavala, while the vineyards are a short distance from the winery.
For Black Sheep white we chose the varieties Semillon and Sauvignon Blanc in a pleasant combination of flavors and aromas.
Category: Protected Geographical Indication Pangaio.
Varieties: Sauvignon Blanc 60%, Semillon 40%.
Vineyards: Foothills of Mount Pangaion.
Vinification-Maturation: Alcoholic fermentation at low temperatures in order to enhance primary aromas. Brief contact with fine lees.
Organoleptic Characteristics: Clear lemon color. Intense nose with aromas reminiscent of lime, lychee, grapefruit, peach, nectarine and light notes of grass. Pleasant acidity, moderate body, the aromas of the mouth follow those of the nose with a pleasant aftertaste.
Storage-Aging: It is pleasantly drunk for the next 2-3 years from the harvest.
Tasty pairing: Served at 8-10 °C, pleasantly accompanied by seafood salads, white lean meats and pasta with discreet sauces.
