Yuzu is a citrus fruit grown and worshipped in Japan. Visually similar to lemon but with a strong aroma, unique herbaceous notes, slight bitterness and a less pronounced sour taste. Gin Yuzu is born from a base of local barley distilled into traditional shōchū spirit. Shōchū is then re-distilled with juniper, yuzu, local citrus fruits and botanicals, respecting the 1500-year tradition of yuzu cultivation and harvesting in Japan. The taste of yuzu is sour and aromatic, reminiscent of lemon and grapefruit, with notes of mandarin.
