Xibal Gin is a wonderful clean and fresh gin with a very interesting history.
Xibalhá is the name of the Mayan underworld. A vast kingdom guarded by all gods, full of legends and priceless treasures. With over 3000 years of thriving history, the Maya are mythical people who inhabited southern Mexico, Honduras, Belize, and Guatemala, from which Hibal gin originated.
In time, the Spaniards arrived in Guatemala, bringing with them other advanced techniques, such as alcohol distillation. Xibal Gin is therefore a product that emerged from the union of Mayan and Spanish cultures and the collective knowledge of herbs and botany. With Xibal Gin, the myth of the divine Mayan peoples is more alive than ever.
Color: Shiny and transparent
Appearance: Clear
Nose: In the nose, juniper and cardamom are combined with green herbs, resulting in distinct notes of lemon and orange.
Body: Slightly sweet and soft, with an explosion of juniper and citrus fruits dominated by orange and lemon, followed by light cumin, cardamom and freshly ground black pepper.
Aftertaste: Long and slow complemented by light floral notes and a fresh bitterness from juniper.
