Deadhead Dark Chocolate Rum is a premium rum from Mexico, inspired by ancient Mayan and Aztec recipes. Produced from molasses and sugar cane juice, it matures for about five years in barrels of American oak and Chiapas oak, and then infused with organic cocoa.
This rum has intense cocoa and chocolate aromas, with spicy notes of pepper, nutmeg, cloves and cinnamon. On the palate, it offers flavors of rich chocolate, cherry and butter, with an amazing balance and long aftertaste.
The bottling of Deadhead Dark Chocolate Rum is particularly special, as the bottle is shaped like a taxidermied monkey’s head, paying homage to the Shuar tradition.
