El Jimador is produced in the historic village of Amatitín, in the province of Jalisco, the heart of Mexico’s most agave producing region. Its name “honors” the farmers who harvest the agave plants. Since 1994, when it was first introduced to the market, it has become the top-selling Tequila in Mexico. In 2006 he was awarded a gold medal at the San Fransisco International Spirits Competition, one of the most prestigious competitions in the industry in the world. El Jimador Reposado, with a soft taste, and equally extremely pale yellow color, is produced 100% from blue agave. However, it is the special way of maturation that gives it its unique aroma, with the main one being baked agave and hints of cinnamon and wood.
