made in Lembeek, the village that gave its name to
Lambic. It is unsweetened, unfiltered and unpasteurized. It has no artificial

400 grams of wild cherries per liter ferment together with a strong
Lambic spontaneously fermented and matured in 6,200 liters of
oak (large wooden barrels) for 6 to 8 months. Then it goes into the
bottles and we have secondary fermentation in a natural way. After
6 months of maturation in the bottle it is ready for us to taste. Kriek
Mariage Parfait has high aging potential, keep it
preferably for more than two years in a
cool and dark place. Pour slowly into 2 glasses of
flute without disturbing the yeast sediment in the bottle and enjoy this epitome of traditional
Lambic brewing. Mariage Parfait has a clear deep red
color, rosé head quite dense, aromas of cherry tarts and
a mild Lambic funk, wine, well supported by its alcohol.
Its taste is dominated by fresh notes of cherry with a touch
of mild vineyard and a few notes of vanilla, balanced against a background of
fragrant roasted oak. The body is filled with good
carbonation. It accompanies excellent duck, roasted goose, baked foie gras
, foie gras terrine and frozen goat cheeses.

Foeder #31 is a large oak barrel,
made between 1905 and 1908 by Bodenheim from
Kassel (Germany). It arrived at a Brussels Lambic brewery in
1919 as part of a large batch of material sent to Belgium as
compensation for "war losses between '14-'18". This particular
barrel remained in this old Lambic brewery until 1988 and
was then sold to Brouwerij Boon along with about 20 more
barrels. These barrels were originally used to mature
1-year-old Lambic for Oude Geuze Boon. By 1992, the barrels that
provided the best lambic were finally destined for Geuze Mariage Parfait's production
, including #31. 375ml
