LOUIS ROEDERER COLLECTION 243 CHAMPAGNE 750ML

Collection 244 is CLR’s Non-Vintage, although it is a Champagne very different from other Non-Vintage. It is an imaginative mix of different years, based on the 2017 vintage but with participation of each year from 2014 to 2018. The varietal composition is 36% Pinot Noir, 42% Chardonnay and 22% Pinot Meunier, with 10% of the blend aged in large oak barrels. After the final blend and the second fermentation, the wine remains in the bottle with its fine lees for over three years – which is by law the minimum stay but for vintage Champagnes. The result balances between strength and refinement, but remains complex and intense. Although it’s ready to eat now, it can evolve into the bottle until at least 2028.
