It is the basic code of Veuve Clicquot and is non-vintage brut. It matures 30 months in the cellars when the competition ages in 15 months (Moet). The Pinot Noir variety (50-55%) is dominant, thus giving a strong body to the wine (typical of the house of Veuve Clicquot).
There is also a small percentage of Pinot Meunier (15-20%) while Chardonnay (30-35%) gives elegance and finesse to wine. Yellow Label is a top wine with a very large ratio of Grand and Premiers Crus – about 30%, while the competition does not exceed 15%. Privately owned vineyards where 97% of the land is Grand and Premiers Crus.
