A well-travelled but difficult variety to cultivate, Syrah finds in the vineyard of the Estate the right environment to express her virtues and gifts.
Very deep red, solid, almost impenetrable.
Typical varietal expression with a bouquet that evolves on many levels. Aromas of violet, berries, blackcurrants, olives, black pepper, chocolate, on a distinctive substrate of vanilla and toasted bread.
Warm and generous, with dense but soft tannins, dressed with plenty of fruit. Well-structured and round, with persistent presence of spices on the long finish.
It pleasantly accompanies lamb and goat in the oven or pot, meat dishes with rich spices, such as lamb curry, game, even wild boar, roasted beef steak, cooked red meats, such as beef with eggplants and ripe gruyeres.
It will continue to evolve for at least 15-20 years from the harvest year.
Aging for 12 months in French oak barrels, of which only 1/4 is new, in order to further highlight the fruity character of the wine.
