Varietal composition: Mavrodaphne 40%, Cabernet Sauvignon 40%, Agiorgitiko 20%
Vineyard: Mountain vineyards at an altitude of 700-800m. located around the vineyard of the Great Cave. The harvest takes place at the end of October.
Vinification: Separate vinification of each variety. The must remains in contact with the marc until the end of fermentation. Mixing and maturing in new American oak, barrels for 8 months.
Taste Characteristics: Deep purple color with blue highlights. Complex nose with dense weaving of aromas that stand out syrup of red fruits such as strawberry, blueberries and berries, graphite with notes of chocolate and coconut. All together they are embraced by aromas of sweet spices and vanilla. Warm and dense in the mouth with exciting granular tannins that balance the whole. Long finish, with aftertaste of sweet spices.
Aging: Consumed pleasantly this year but can be aged for another three years
Harmony: Accompanies cooked or grilled red meats, pasta with red sauces, yellow cheeses.
