Malagouzia Single Vineyard Bar by Kir-Yianni, has a medium lemon color that exudes a sense of freshness. Refined aromas of jasmine and chamomile accompanied by notes of green apple and lemon. In the mouth, the unique structure and moderate body of the wine balance with the refreshing acidity.
The queen of the Greek vineyard, Malagouzia was planted in a small vineyard of 8 acres 720 meters high on the hill of Samaropetra in Amyntaio in 2004. The orientation of the vineyard is northwest with an average slope of up to 15%. The climate of the region is characterized by cold winters and hot summers, but becomes milder thanks to the presence of four lakes, favoring the cultivation of white varieties. The soils of the vineyards are sandy and poor, contributing to the production of wines with exceptional finesse and rich aroma.
In vinification, pre-fermentation extraction is applied to the entire quantity of Malagouzia in order to increase the aromatic intensity of the wine. This is followed by static leaching of the must, the duration of which is determined by the quality of the raw material. The temperature of fermentation is 16-18°C and takes place in stainless steel tanks. During the last part of winemaking, batonnage is applied for 4 months to light lees with the help of enzymes to increase the volume of the final product. KYKYR
