TALISKER 8 YEARS AGED SPECIAL RELEASE 2021 WHISKY 700ML

A great selection of whiskies from Diageo’s Special Editions 2021 is Talisker single malt 8 year old. A bold and lively version after it has matured in replenishment barrels with intense peat. Although very peat, it does not lack rich fruit notes. The theme of Diageo’s 2021 Special Releases is Legends Untold, and all bottling contains references to stories (real and fictional) surrounding the distillery. Given Talisker’s seaside location on the Isle of Skye, it’s not surprising the rather imposing sea monster on its label!
Nose: Sweet notes initially, vanilla and sponge cake and then bonfires on the beach with salty notes of seaweed. Fruits retain their presence.
Mouth: Very black pepper with tobacco, heather, honey and peaches.
Finish: Black pepper and chili with a little caramel. Long and fiery
